Arroz Con Leche
Hello Autumn!
Autumn is Vata Season. The qualities of autumn are cold, dry, light, mobile, clear, rough, hard, and subtle. During Vata season, these qualities can be transferred to the human body and the mind, more so if we are naturally inclined towards Vata dosha. In order to maintain balance within us for optimal health, it is important to be aware when the qualities of Vata begin to manifest within us before it creates an imbalance.
One of the most straight forward ways to maintain balance within the us is by what we put into our bodies. Foods can either help to maintain balance, or help to further feed an imbalance. For a person who has a naturally high Vata constitution, during Vata season, it is important to eat foods with the opposite qualities of Vata. Foods that are heavy, grounding, warm, and soft are healthy for a person with a lot of Vata.
This classic recipe is perfect for Vata.
It is also exactly what we naturally crave as the weather gets colder and drier.
