5 Reasons to Detox
The purpose of a detox is to remove toxins from the body. Our body is designed to cleanse itself. Our cells work to keep our body clean and healthy. We only need to get out of the way....
Problem is that we don't. We load our body with foods that clog our system and get in the way of the health process. Our environment is full of pesticides, chemicals, preservatives that make their way into our body via the foods we eat, the water we drink, the lotions and creams we put on our skin, even the clothes we wear.
All of this, especially the food we eat, accumulates in the gut and creates a cancer causing undigested sludge that just sits in our intestines and literally rots inside of us. This especially happens when we over eat. This sludge is toxic. These toxins eventually make its way into the rest of our tissues and cells, including our bones, brain, muscles, and skin.
This is why EVERYONE should detox every once in awhile. If you are not pooping every day...YOU NEED TO DETOX!

1. It helps prevent chronic disease.
As I explained above, environmental toxins find their way into our body. That's just the world we live in. If these toxins are allowed to sit and fester in our systems, they will contribute to heart disease, diabetes, & some cancers.
2. A detox helps boost the immune system.
A clean system works better and does what is was designed to do. When our system is backed up, our immune fighting cells can't work as efficiently as they were designed to.
3. A helps with weight loss and healthy weight management.
Stored sludge can easily equal 10, 15, even 20 pounds of extra weight in our torso. Um... #GROSS
Why wouldn't anyone want to get rid of that?
4. A detox helps create a better digestion.
Clean pipes help everything flow better.
5. More Energy.
Now who doesn't want that? Again, when the digestive system is clean, and everything is flowing properly, the cells are able to get the nutrition they need. The cells are also able to do what they were designed to do. This means that all of our tissues and organs are functioning at optimal levels. This equates to more energy. When we have undigested and accumulated sludge sitting in our stomach, the cells are basically starving and working in fourth gear. Hence, our body is moving slower. We feel sluggish. We lack clarity. And this results in having little to no energy.
